To study the brain-language relationships a lot of different measurement techniques (electroencephaolgraphy, structural and functional neuroimaging, non-invasive neuromodulation, brain lesion mapping, functional near-infrared spectroscopy etc.) have meanwhile been established. The course is meant to theoretically introduce the various approaches. When possible hands on training will be included in the classes. The goal is to acquire a solid theoretical and practical knowledge about the pros and cons of the various techniques and to learn which imaging approach should be used to answer specific questions when running experimental studies in neurolinguistics. |
