Authorization, privacy and confidentiality

If you submit an NTA application to the PhF, please note the following:

  • You agree that the offices involved will exchange information if necessary and grant each other access to files. These are in particular the Dean's Office of the PhF as well as the responsible departments and the Disability Office (FSB).
  • You acknowledge that the Dean's Office will only use your UZH mail address for data protection reasons. You will receive all information and data via your UZH mail.
  • You are aware of the risks involved and accept them if you correspond with the Dean's Office using an
e-mail address other than the UZH mail address.

According to the "need to know“ principle we treat your data confidentially.

Process

  1. Contact the FSB early for a consultation appointment. The FSB will discuss the NTA with you drawing on medical reports and additional relevant information. On this basis the FSB will then issue you with the form "Recommendation for Accommodation Measures" (ENTA) and a consultation protocol.
  2. Apply for the NTA at the PhF within the deadline using our online application form. Indicate only modules, that include assessments for which accommodation measures have been recommended. All module details can be found in the course catalogue.
  3. Once you have submitted the online form, you will receive an e-mail from us within a few minutes. In it, we will list the documents you need to submit:
    • Current ENTA form from the FSB
    • Current consultation protocol from the FSB
    • Doctor's notes, medical reports, specialist medical assessment, etc. (for first application: less than 1 year old)
    • NTA decision/report for exams during your time at upper secondary school
  4. We will review your application and will consult with the departments. The Vice Dean of Studies will decide whether and how we can grant and implement NTA.
  5. We will send the decision to your UZH mail and to the departments.
  6. The departments will implement the NTA. The organization of the exams depends, among other things, on the NTA and on the how and where the courses and assessments are held and carried out.

Important notes

  • Submit an NTA application each semester for your modules at PhF, even if the ENTA form was issued for more than one semester.
  • For two-semester modules, submit the NTA application in the respective first semester.
  • We must reject incomplete or late applications.
  • Granted NTA are binding for students and all offices involved in their implementation.
  • We consider NTA requests for PhF modules only. NTA for modules of other faculties must be requested from the respective faculty. Please observe their current faculty-specific regulations regarding deadlines and formalities.

Binding deadlines

Please submit your NTA application within the relevant deadline, otherwise we cannot guarantee that it will be implemented. We must reject applications that are late or incomplete after the deadline.
