Childcare

Applications: At the earliest three and at the latest one month before the trip

Doctoral students can apply for a grant of up to a maximum of 500 CHF for childcare when actively participating in a conference, symposium, summer school, or similar events (including at UZH).

Conditions 

Eligible applicants are doctoral students enrolled at PhF, including those on leave during the publication phase. Multiple applications can be submitted until the maximum sum is reached. There is no entitlement to full reimbursement of requested costs. Amounts under 100 Swiss Francs will not be reimbursed. Budgetary constraints apply.

The grant can be used for:

• Travel and accommodation costs for children or the individuals accompanying and caring for the child
• Childcare costs

Application 

Applications must be received in full at the following email address at the earliest three and at the latest one month before the trip: rechnungswesen@phil.uzh.ch.

For a complete application, please compile the following documents into a single PDF file and send this as an attachment via email; the file size should not exceed 50 MB:

1. Childcare Support Application Form (DOCX, 64 KB)
2. Receipts that justify the requested amount (hotel bookings, travel reservations, daycare invoices, etc.)
3. Confirmation of active participation in conference etc. (invitation/program, etc.)
4. Proof of recording any flight travels in the ClimateSmart.Travel tool (as a screenshot)

Incomplete or late submissions will be returned without processing. The Dean's Office will not engage in correspondence regarding disbursements. Payments are typically made to your account within two months after receiving the application.
