Requests

For a request for postponement of military service, first fill out the offical form for postponement of military service for members of the armed forces (AdA im Studium). You can find the form on the website of the Swiss Armed Forces.
You must be enrolled and have paid the semester fees in the semester in which you would would have to do the postponed military service. Only then can we consider your request. 
Please send the completed form together with brief written justification as a scan to studium@phil.uzh.ch. 

Gender equality and equal opportunities for women and men are important issues for the University of Zurich. During pregnancy, you can request compensatory measures, e.g. the suspension of a Master's thesis or bringing forward of an examination. In such cases, please contact your academic advisors. They will discuss suitable measures with you. The Office of Student Affairs will then record the agreed measures in a learning contract. The compatibility of studies and top-level sports is an important issue for the University of Zurich. If you are in possession of a Swiss Olympic Card, you can request compensatory measures to better arrange your studies with your top-level sport, e.g. by postponing exams or extending a deadline. In such cases, contact your academic advisors who will discuss suitable measures with you. The Office of Student Affairs will then record the agreed measures in a learning contract. Supporting information can be found on the website of the Student Advisory Services.
